Type A H1N1 Influenza

I just recovered from Type A H1N1 symptoms :

- fever
- cough
- sore throat
- body aches
- headache

Yes, the symptoms are very much similar to regular human flu's because by the name itself, Type A H1N1 Influenza is just another flu. From what we've heard in news where the number of cases increased daily, it can be said that anyone (in Malaysia, specifically) could be infected with the virus.

Many of us freaked out when this virus becomes the no. 1 cause of death these days. When the fact is, many people even died from the normal seasonal flu and some suffered badly for the rest of their life from high fever at a very young age. Truth is, any type of flu is as dangerous as Type A H1N1. So my advice is, if you're having flu symptoms - fever, cough, sore throat, etc. - do not take it lightly. Get early treatment. Do not wait for the test result to confirm whether you are a H1N1 positive or otherwise. I have a friend whose sister was diagnosed as a normal patient with regular flu and later when they checked at another medical centre, she was confirmed H1N1 positive. Imagine how many people have been infected with the virus while waiting for her status to be confirmed. And why didn't the first doctor detect the virus?

The thing is, we have to keep ourselves protected all the time. Just because the doctor says it is a 'normal flu', we should not shove it off our shoulders. So aside from putting on your face masks and avoiding crowded places, don't neglect the most powerful 'army' who can fight those merciless viruses which is your own body's immune system. Make sure it's strong enough to face all the enemies coming from any angle. How, you must say? Of course, one of the ways is to consume our special Yung Kien LingZhi which has been researched and tested to be able to strengthen our immune system and protect our liver so that we are ready to fight any disease!

Chicken Wings

Avoid eating chicken wings frequently (or at all!) - ladies especially...

As told by a friend :

A friend of mine recently had a growth in her womb and she underwent an operation to remove it. The cyst removed was filled with a dark coloured blood. She thought that she would be recovered after the surgery BUT she was terribly wrong!

A repalse occured just a few months later. Distressed, she rushed down to her gynecologist for a consultation.

During her consultation, her doctor asked her a question that puzzled her. He asked if she was a frequent consumer of chicken wings and she replied YES wondering as to how he know of her eating habit.

You see, the truth is in this modern day and age, chickens are injected with steroids to accelerate their growth so that the needs of this society can be met. This need is none other than the need for food.

Chickens that are injected with steroids are usually given the shot at the neck or the wings. Therefore, it is in these places that the highest concentration of steroid exists. These steroids have terrifying effects on the body as it accelerates growth.

It has an even more dangerous effect in the presence of female hormones, this leads to women being more prone to the growth of a cyst in the womb. Therefore, I advise the people out there to watch their diets and to lower their frequency of consuming chicken wings!

6) Others à thirst, farting, urticaria (itchy on skin), etc.
**During consumption of LingZhi, there is no need to stop on-going medication or therapy (if any)

Personally, I've experienced different reactions throughout my long term of LingZhi consumption. I started with Lu Chun LingZhi Tea, and then to JiaHor LingZhi, JiaHor Nutri-Health Tablet, CEO Café up till the very amazing YungKien LingZhi. I also compliment my daily dosage with JiaHor Soy Protein, Jia Hor Hi-Fibre, and recently, I put some JiaHor Seasoning Powder to my dishes and it tastes good too. :)

To some of you, you may think that I must be earning so much that I can afford consuming all of the products at once! Well, not really. I don’t consume all at once. I keep taking LingZhi continuously every month and compliment it with other products once in a while. I consume according to my budget. And the benefits I got from the products have actually driven me to do the business so that I can consume more products with more discounts, and hopefully one day, FOC! It is possible, but definitely takes time and effort and lots, lots of patience. At the same time, I can share my knowledge to help others to improve their lifestyle to a healthy one too.

But for this post, let me just focus on my reactions I have experienced so far...
When I started taking JiaHor LingZhi few years back, only I experienced real and visible reactions. First, it was the headache¹ (OK, this is not visible ;P). For those of you who started to get this reaction, I understand if you feel like quitting because I TOO HATE HEADACHES! Very painful, felt like vomiting (and sometimes I literally did), can’t do any work, and you have that urge to bang your head on the wall. Stop! But knowing that it’s a first sign of a positive reaction, I was patient enough to bear with the pain and suck it all in, and Alhamdulillah, I got through it. Few days later, I started to have some rashes2 on my knees. I remember this happened after having few prawns for lunch.

And then I experienced having a massive discharge. Usually this type of reaction only happened to those with menstruation problem. I used to have clots during my monthly and that clots actually contribute to period-pain where most people say it is normal since we have ‘Panadol Menstrual’ selling at all 7-11 stores. But some people have light and some people suffer from bad period-pain. There are people who do not suffer any pain at all during menstruation. So ladies, face the fact that period-pain is NOT normal.

When I started consuming CEO Café 2 sachets per day, consistently, I started to have itchiness2 on my hands after 2 weeks. It continued with a slight fever and the itchiness/rashes developed throughout my whole body. I knew at that time it was one of vertigo reactions but when I couldn’t handle the rashes, I went to see the Doctor and get some cream to relieve the itchiness. Some said it was hay-fever. Doctor suspected dengue fever (because red spots started to appear on both of my hands) and did a blood test on me but the result was negative. Thank God. I continued CEO Café consumption and used VCare Shower Gel for bathing, on top of applying medicated-cream given by Doctor and also some GreenZhi paste on the rashes. Result : rashes got dried out and skin started peeling off -- To those of you who were there during my skin-change, you know how it was, right? It’s like getting back from Port Dickson after sun-bathing for a few days. My skin dropped off everywhere! Erkkhh. After couple of weeks, everything got back to normal. :D

Also after CEO Café consumption that I realized my bowel habit was getting better. I am not sure when did I start to have constipation but I never remember going to the toilet to do that ‘thing’ everyday. So, probably since I was a small kid. Hm.

More reactions happened after complimenting LingZhi intake with other products. My stool texture becoming better after consuming JiaHor Hi-Fibre. Less hairfall and dandruff since I have been using VCare Scalpcare Shampoo and having JiaHor Soy Protein for breakfast every morning. There was one time I had a tiny layer of cataract-like on my white-eye. Went to check with the Doctor and she said it was common and nothing to be afraid of. Only that after 20 years I need to undergo a surgery to remove it. Hm. What a relieving explanation. I am not blaming the doctors, though. I am sure it’s written like that somewhere in their syllabus. I just don’t like to attend surgeries, that’s all. So I rinsed my eyes with GreenZhi. And few days later that ‘thing’ in my eye was gone. Alhamdulillah.

After I have secured my first day-job, I started consuming YungKien LingZhi every month. I started with high dosage of 12 capsules per day together with about 20 capsules of YungKien Pollen and the first week made me went to the toilet not less than 10 times per day. I was pee-ing heavily and was told by more experienced people that it’s a sign of kidney-cleansing. After that, I did not experience much reaction so I reduced my consumption (due to a very tight budget) but continuously everyday.

Last 2 weeks I had a fever. It’s been a while since I experienced one. I started to get a slight temperature on Wednesday. By Friday, my fever was gone. During this period, I consumed about 6-10 JiaHor LingZhi per day. And then I had sore throat. As advised by AN, I opened up 1 capsule of JiaHor LingZhi and pour directly to my throat. Only 1/3 of the capsule went through with that method. The rest had to be mixed into my coffee. Very bitter. ;P On Sunday morning, I started to cough3 a little. Towards late in the afternoon, coughing became worse. I increase the dosage and by late evening, my JiaHor consumption was 15 capsules on that day. About couple of hours before I hit bed, my breathing was normal. I could inhale deeply and no wheezing at all. Alhamdulillah…

Long-term of LingZhi consumption can definitely prevent diseases to build-up in your body and could cure/reverse current disease you’re suffering…insya Allah. J

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1Back when I was 12 years old, I suffered from a very bad headache almost every day for about a year

2I used to have a bad allergy towards fish when I was <8 style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"> keropok ikan, fishcake, even those tiny anchovies! No-no. The only F-food I could consume at that time was Bawal Putih fish. Maybe because it’s pricey. (my high-taste preference showed at an early young age, huh ;P)
3I have a history of asthma when I was much younger. The worst asthma attach when I was 16-17 years old. EVERYTIME I have a cough, I will definitely get shortness of breath at night, wheezing. Usually I have to spend few nights sitting body straight-up on sofa, not sleeping, in my living room, where it’s a larger space compared to my bedroom so that I can get air to breathe easily.

The Saccharine Killer - Understanding Diabetes Mellitus

According to an estimated projection made by World Health Organization (WHO) in 1997, by the year 2025, the number of confirmed diabetics in Malaysia is likely to increase by 870,000. Meaning that from among our population of 25 million, as many as 1.6 million will have fallen prey to diabetes mellitus, or diabetes, in short. In other words, 6 out of every 100 individuals on average are diabetic patients. it can thus be seen that diabetes has taken a heavy and extensive toll on the everyday living of the modern people. Apart from hereditary factors, the onset of diabetes is also closely linked to excessive eating and drinking, the lack of exercise, long-term stress and so on. As such, it is necessary and imperative for those who seriously care about their physical well-being to learn more about diabetes and the ways to prevent.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a chronic, long-term metabolic disease characterized by excessively high level of blood sugar arising from decreased insulin production or its reduced utilization. Basically, we can classify diabetes into 2 major types :

Type 1 Diabetes : Insulin-dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM)

As the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin are attacked and destroyed, the body loses its ability to produce insulin. the patients have to depend on daily injection of insulin in addition to observe appropriate eating & drinking habits apart from taking up regular exercise to control the blood sugar level.
Type 1 Diabetes is mostly found in patients who inherit a genetic tendency from their parents or have a family history of this type of diabetes

Type 2 Diabetes : Non-insulin-dependent Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM)

The cause of type 2 diabetes is the insufficient production of insulin by the body or its reduced ability to utilize insulin. It is usually brought about by hereditary factors, bad eating & drinking habits, and unhealthy lifestyle.

For patients who suffer from this type of diabetes, they have to rely on having appropriate diet, oral intake of hypoglycaemic agents (medicines aimed at bringin down blood sugar level), regular exercise and healthy lifestyles. To achieve the objective of controlling the blood sugar level. When the condition deteriorates, the patients may have to rely on insulin injections to control the level of blood sugar.

Patients of diabetes generally show the following symptoms :

1. Abnormally good appetite and the tendency to become hungry easily
2. Increased volume of urine and the need to urinate frequently
3. Frequent thirst
4. Losing bodyweight and the tendency to feel tired easily

About 85% of diabetic patients also suffer from other complications such as heart problems, hypertension, cerebrovascular diseases, renal diseases or kidney ailments, problems in the lower limbs, a decline in visual functions, and the list goes on. As all these complications are closely related to an elevation in the blood sugar level, they can be effectively prevented or retarded if the blood sugar level is appropriately and timely controlled.

For effective prevention of chronic complications, diabetic patients have to observe the following do's in their everyday living :

1. Have the levels of blood sugar, blood lipids, and blood pressure under proper control.
2. Go for an eye check-up at least once a year.
3. Have more frequent exercises that involve the lower limbs.
4. Go for more frequent check-ups on the lower limbs and take necessary precautions to avoid feet and leg injuries.
5. Take necessary precautions to avoid infection of the urethra.
6. Go for frequent check-ups on the content of 'trace albumin' in the urine

Therapy through a nutritional approach is the key to a holistic or overall care and management of diabetic conditions. Essentially, the control of blood sugar level should begin with having a balanced diet and healthy living habits, while attentions must also paid to the following areas :

1. Maintain an ideal bodyweight.
2. Reduce the intake of oily and deep-fried food, fatty meat, chicken skin, and food with high contents of fat and cholestrol.
3. Use cooking oil of plant origin instead of animal origin for all cooking purposes.
4. Preferably cook the food by steaming and boiling, or eat fresh vegetables and salads.
5. Increase the intake of food that is rich in fibre, such as fruit & vegetables, whole grains, and anything similar.
6. Reduce the intake of food that is rich in sugar, for example sweets, carbonated soft drinks, cordials, sweetmeats, buns and others.
7. Take food that has low content of salt.
8. Avoid alcoholic drinks.

How LingZhi helps in the prevention and treatment of Diabetes?

A patient develops diabetes as a resule of problems in the secretion of insulin, which leads to disorders in metabolic activities involving carbohydrates, proteins, fats, water, and electrolytes, eventually bringing about a disturbance in the physiological equilibrium of the body and subsequent onset of lesions or pathologic changes.

Since time immemorial and through the ages, LingZhi has been regarded as a top grade crude drug of exceptional helath-giving attributes. On-going development of modern sciences, relentless research work, in-depth analyses, and extensive clinical studies have proven that LingZhi is rich in a good number of active constituents, which include macro-molecular proteins. In effect, it shows remarkable curative values in promoting our physiological functions in the prevention and treatment of many modern diseases.

Taking diabetes as an example - once you have suffered from it, chances are it will continue to haunt you throughout your life. LingZhi is not only effective in bringing down blood pressure, but is also capable of elevating the concentration of insulin in the blood. It has been proven through experiments that LingZhi is notable in slowing down the speed with which the blood sugar level rises and reducing its concentration after meal. Besides, it also excites the secretion of insulin, enables the insulin in the blood to remain at a stable level of concentration for a longer period of time, and improves the utilization of glucose in the blood by tissue cells, hence achieving the objective of bringing down the blood sugar level.

LingZhi's ability in helping the prevention and treatment of diabetes is attributed to its major functions as listed below :

It increases the concentration of insulin in the blood.
It facilitates the utilization of glucose in the blood by tissue cells.
It assists the liver in metablosing the glucose in the blood.
It is effective in bringing down blood sugar level.
It protects the cardiac blood vessels, thus preventing and delaying the onset of complications caused by the hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis) or hardening of the micro blood vessels.

Baby is Hirschsprung-ed.

Remember about that 2-month-old baby who's suffering from digestion problem and had to wait for about a month till the doctor came out with the result? Well, I shall make a correction about a statement in my earlier post that the baby is actually a boy, named AZ.

He's 3-month-old now and the result has been out. He's confirmed with Hirschprung disease and was scheduled to undergo a surgery to remove part of his intestine last Monday. According to the last message from the father, AZ would be having a hole on the side of his stomach to replace his digestion 'pipe' and he'll be living like that till AZ is 7-8 months old or at least when he already weighs 8kg. The last time I saw the baby, his condition was very weak, very small and he merely made 2kg for his weight.

After the first few consumption of YKLZ, AZ indeed got better, in terms that he had some bowel movements after about a week of not having it. Later, the father stopped giving him YKLZ because AZ refused to take it, probably because he could taste the bitterness of that triterpenoids contained in YKLZ. AZ's condition got worsen after that and I tried to convince the parents to continue YKLZ consumption with an addition of JiaHor Soy Protein. AZ was said to refuse taking both YKLZ and JHSP thus not making his condition any better.

I felt really sad for his health and just wish that he could have more courage to live the many more days to come and overcome the disease he's currently suffering. So to those of you out there who feel pity for this baby, you could at least be extra careful on what to feed your babies, and especially to nursing mommies or pregnant women, watch what you eat, cause it will go straight to your baby and that defines whether your baby would be healthy or not.

Others who have extra moolah, you can extend your donation straight to the father of the child, which could reduce the burden of settling off the medication fee which the father is handling it alone right now, since the mommy is a full-time housewife. All donations can be made to :

MAYBANK ACC : 164100258387
FIKRI BIN YA'ACOB

If 100 people donated RM1 each, it could help a lot to this family. Please have some mercy for the young guy as if he's yours.

And everyone else, let's take some moment to pray for AZ's health so that he could live for the many more years to come healthily with his 2 elder sisters.

LingZhi for Your Cats (or Pets).

I have cats. A lot of them. Short hair, Long hair, Persian, Siamese, you name it. I have (or had) all of them. I've been wanting to have a Scottish Fold! Haven't got the chance, yet. Maybe because haven't got enough fund to afford one! Haha. Any free Scottish Fold? Ehem. So. It started since 1994. My cousin gave us these two most adorable cats - Garfield and Simba. Both were male, orange, long hair, cute and playful. Garfield is the skinnier one (I know, he should be that big, fat, lazy) and Simba grew up looking fierce but he's not that really.

Then, came along Smokey, a pure persian, female, grey, very fierce but cute. She's Mom's most favourite. So that's when the family tree started. After about 15 years of becoming a very successful cat-breeder, I'm proud (or not?) to announce that to date, we have 21 cats under one roof. Yes. *Clap clap*. Through out the years, Mom has been the main person behind the scene. She's been taking care of all of them everyday, went back and forth to the clinic when one got sick, doctor for mommycats delivering babies ... She's been everything to the kitties. I only adore them when they're cute and when they grew bigger, I don't get too attached. Simply because I used to have one cat that I truly love and suddenly she died which really upset me and I never want to go through that same feeling again. Yes, I AM that emotional. Sue me.

We've had cats with leukimia, kidney disease, stone in the bladder, caesared for delivery, spayed, FIV, etc. Not that we're proud with any of these diseases / complications, but we truly understand how cats too can suffer from all the chronic / critical diseases like human do.

When I first started to become conscious of my health, one of my male cats - Junior, was having difficulty to urinate. This had also happened to another cat which I used to have. Everytime it occured, Mom would take him to the vet to suck the stones from his bladder. After that, he needs to be fed with a good (expensive) food to avoid the stones from occuring again. But after a while, we couldn't afford to feed him with that good food anymore, and the stones will re-appear and need to be sucked again. It was painful. It has to be! Imagine sucking something hard and larger from your bladder passage. Ouch!

With the simple understanding of how LingZhi can normalize our body system at that time, I boiled some Lu Chun LingZhi Tea which consists of 5% of Jia Hor LingZhi and give it to him for a few days. The first day consuming the tea, a few droplets of blood was spotted when he tried to pee. Few days later, the blood became thinner and watery. About a week after the tea consumption, he can pee freely till now. I still check his voiding habit from time to time and it seems OK now. Am very proud with his improvement. :)

Recently, I fed one of my nursing cats (yes, there are more than 1 nursing mom now) with Jia Hor Soy Protein. She likes the taste but I don't give her everyday. Maybe because I too need that Protein and can't afford (yet) to sponsor it as her daily health-food. ;P

Other than that, I also used to feed some of my sick cats with YungKien LingZhi, YungKien Pollen and Jia Hor Nutri-Health Tablet. All the products are 100% natural so there's nothing to be worried about. It's much much better than some people who give Panadol to their sick cats. Erk. Please do not give Panadol! Even if you think it's necessary, just give 1/8 of the tablet! Not that whole large one!

The lighter and easier way is to boil a pot of Lu Chun LingZhi Tea and distribute it to all the water bowls. This way, your cats will at least have something in the body to remove the toxins from the cheap cat food available in the market which contains colouring and preservatives.

Cats too need to be healthy, you know. ;P
