LingZhi for Your Cats (or Pets).

I have cats. A lot of them. Short hair, Long hair, Persian, Siamese, you name it. I have (or had) all of them. I've been wanting to have a Scottish Fold! Haven't got the chance, yet. Maybe because haven't got enough fund to afford one! Haha. Any free Scottish Fold? Ehem. So. It started since 1994. My cousin gave us these two most adorable cats - Garfield and Simba. Both were male, orange, long hair, cute and playful. Garfield is the skinnier one (I know, he should be that big, fat, lazy) and Simba grew up looking fierce but he's not that really.

Then, came along Smokey, a pure persian, female, grey, very fierce but cute. She's Mom's most favourite. So that's when the family tree started. After about 15 years of becoming a very successful cat-breeder, I'm proud (or not?) to announce that to date, we have 21 cats under one roof. Yes. *Clap clap*. Through out the years, Mom has been the main person behind the scene. She's been taking care of all of them everyday, went back and forth to the clinic when one got sick, doctor for mommycats delivering babies ... She's been everything to the kitties. I only adore them when they're cute and when they grew bigger, I don't get too attached. Simply because I used to have one cat that I truly love and suddenly she died which really upset me and I never want to go through that same feeling again. Yes, I AM that emotional. Sue me.

We've had cats with leukimia, kidney disease, stone in the bladder, caesared for delivery, spayed, FIV, etc. Not that we're proud with any of these diseases / complications, but we truly understand how cats too can suffer from all the chronic / critical diseases like human do.

When I first started to become conscious of my health, one of my male cats - Junior, was having difficulty to urinate. This had also happened to another cat which I used to have. Everytime it occured, Mom would take him to the vet to suck the stones from his bladder. After that, he needs to be fed with a good (expensive) food to avoid the stones from occuring again. But after a while, we couldn't afford to feed him with that good food anymore, and the stones will re-appear and need to be sucked again. It was painful. It has to be! Imagine sucking something hard and larger from your bladder passage. Ouch!

With the simple understanding of how LingZhi can normalize our body system at that time, I boiled some Lu Chun LingZhi Tea which consists of 5% of Jia Hor LingZhi and give it to him for a few days. The first day consuming the tea, a few droplets of blood was spotted when he tried to pee. Few days later, the blood became thinner and watery. About a week after the tea consumption, he can pee freely till now. I still check his voiding habit from time to time and it seems OK now. Am very proud with his improvement. :)

Recently, I fed one of my nursing cats (yes, there are more than 1 nursing mom now) with Jia Hor Soy Protein. She likes the taste but I don't give her everyday. Maybe because I too need that Protein and can't afford (yet) to sponsor it as her daily health-food. ;P

Other than that, I also used to feed some of my sick cats with YungKien LingZhi, YungKien Pollen and Jia Hor Nutri-Health Tablet. All the products are 100% natural so there's nothing to be worried about. It's much much better than some people who give Panadol to their sick cats. Erk. Please do not give Panadol! Even if you think it's necessary, just give 1/8 of the tablet! Not that whole large one!

The lighter and easier way is to boil a pot of Lu Chun LingZhi Tea and distribute it to all the water bowls. This way, your cats will at least have something in the body to remove the toxins from the cheap cat food available in the market which contains colouring and preservatives.

Cats too need to be healthy, you know. ;P

The Role of LingZhi in the Immune War

So we went to the talk by Dr Chen on Monday night. He explained about how our own body's immunity could fight viruses.

Human's real predator is the virus. According to research, new virus appears almost every year. This happened because of mutation of viruses in our environment.

Since 1918, H1N1 flu was found in Spain which killed more than 30 million people worldwide. World War I even ended possibly because of this influenza disease.

Around 1957, H2N2 flu was found in Asia and In 1968, H3N2 flu was spotted in Hong Kong, which killed more than 1 million victims. Few years back, we were shocked by the existence of SARS and now, we're haunted by the latest mutation of virus, Type A(H1N1) flu. Please refer to the diagram below for the growth of different viruses since early 1900s.

Type A(H1N1) flu or it's more popular by the name of 'Swine Flu' is awfully dangerous to everyone. This is because, it is very difficult for one to know whether he/she is infected with the disease since the 'hiding period' for the virus to stay in the body before that person suffers from fever/flu is about 7 days. Hiding period is the duration where the virus stays before it starts attacking the body. And the worse thing is, we never know who is already infected with A(H1N1) virus before that person is diagnosed with fever/flu and he/she doesn't have to fall sick to transmit the disease to the next person. This virus can also spread at a warm temperature so it can be transmitted to anyone, anywhere and anytime.

So how can human survive from this virus?

There's no other vaccine out there which can help to cure this disease. Even when the scientists have came up with a solution, by that time, a new virus has appeared and this process will go on and on. The best way to fight the in-coming virus from attacking our body is our own immunity system. That's why people say, "The best doctor for you is your own body". Which is very true. If you have a very powerful immunity system, it can fight all the viruses from attacking your body and the rest of the systems.

This is where Lingzhi can play a role. Lingzhi is not a vaccine in immune war. It is instead a representative of immune power. Lingzhi has the capability to regulate the immune system in our body. The immune system should not be too weak, as predators can easily break in, and it should not be too strong, where it can attack back our own body. By taking Lingzhi, the immune power can be regulated so that it will make sure the defense cells are powerful to fight viruses and diseases.

When the 1st and 2nd defense cells are powerful, the most important weapon in our body will be strong, which is the antibody, used to identify the known virus and foreign objects (mutated virus).

The requirements for a powerful immunity system are to:

- avoid over reaction of immune cells
- supply sufficient immune cells
- terminate phatogen
- produce antibody in short time

In conclusion, when we have a powerful immune system in our body, we can (God willing) fight all the new virus mutations no matter where they come from, be it bird, swine, or human-sourced.

So everyone, please do take care of your own body. Do not abuse this hardworking 'machine' which has been operating ever since you were not even born to this world yet! Take care of it so that our body can still be used in the many more years to come. And hopefully it will still be in good condition till the day it stops working. Insya Allah~

Till the next one~

Are you healthy?

"I am healthy. I don't catch a flu. I'm not having fever. I can still go to work and exercise regularly. I eat good food and seldomly see the doctor. I am healthy"

Sure you are. That's what we always get from people's first response to, "Are you healthy?". But when we asked further questions, it determines whether he/she is truly healthy or not.

  • Do you get headache often?
  • Can you sleep easily at night before midnight?
  • Do you feel fresh everytime you wake up in the morning?
  • How's your day at work? Feeling lazy? Sleepy?
  • Do you suffer from constipation?

If most of the answers to the above questions are YES, it means you're not 100% healthy.

If you experience the above symptoms, it shows that toxin has started to enter your body. If toxin is not removed, it will accumulate in the body and start to affect our body systems. Accumulated toxin in our body for many years could lead to chronic diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure, and the end of all diseases; cancer.

Is it normal for us to feel lazy and sleepy during the day? The answer is NO. Feeling sleepy and lazy during the day shows that our body is lack of oxygen. When toxin is accumulating in our body, we need a very high level of oxygen to get rid of the toxin. This process is called 'detoxification'. There are many ways to detoxify your body. So many products are available out there claiming that they are good for detoxificating your body. But how do we know which is the best one?

Of course, you can do a simple research to define which is the best detoxificat-or (erk?), but if you ask me, of course my answer would be LingZhi. =D Do I sound biased? Maybe. But if you do your own research on LingZhi, you will agree with me, I'm sure. :)

There are many kind of LingZhi products out there. But so far, I've never came across any other product better than Shuang Hor's LingZhi. Visit their website and find the testimonies from real consumers to understand better. The certifications achieved for Shuang Hor on its products prove that all the products (especially YungKien LingZhi) is safe for everyone and anyone to consume. (Including cats! - yes, I've tried).

Constipation? What is constipation? It is very simple to know if we're constipated. You must make sure you have a regular bowel movement, easy-not forced, and the stool must have these 5 criteria :

1 - Big
2 - Yellow to Light Brown
3 - Long
4 - Floating
5 - Not too stinky

The topic on constipation can be a very long one. I shall do more study on this and share with the rest of you some other time. For now, just make sure you have a healthy stool, OK? If your stool sinks, that means you're lack of fibre. Eat more good quality food which are high in fibre and avoid consuming too much of toxic food such as fried ones, fast food and others which contain lots of additional colouring and preservatives.

Till then, stay healthy~

Baby, be strong.

Last week, KN came up to me telling that her friend's baby was diagnosed with a serious disease. The 2-month-old baby almost underwent a surgery last Monday in JB. She was suspected to be having Hirschsprung Disease. The surgery was supposed to remove part of her defected intestine. But would it cure her?

KN gave me the father's contact number and we met up. Apparently, the baby was normal for the past 2 months. Only recently, when she was supposed to be vaccinated, the nurse in charged informed the parents of the baby's abnormality. She looked very skinny. Then, the parents realized that the baby has a constipation problem for 8 days already. After explaining to the father about health and some of ShuangHor's product, he was convinced with the product and bought a bottle of Yung Kien Lingzhi. AN suggested a capsule per hour till the constipation problem solved.

The baby was admitted in JB Hospital. So the following night, the baby was given a capsule of YKLZ. The next morning, the stool came out green. Not too hard. Not too soft. That's a good reaction. Only that, according to AN, green stool might be a sign of bad liver. The father continued giving YKLZ to the baby and she has improved day by day. The latest news was she produced yellow stool. Alhamdulillah.

This morning, the father informed me that the baby already refused to take YKLZ. Previously, he opened up the capsule, put YKLZ in a bottle of water and feed the baby. Now, the baby can differentiate the taste, and mind you, YKLZ has only one taste, that is VERY BITTER! So the mother continued to consume the capsules. I adviced the father to put YKLZ in a syringe and force-feed the baby. That's the only way.  But his concern is now whether YKLZ will reverse the effect of hormone-pills the wife is taking.

For everyone's info, hormone-pills are no good for nursing mother, baby, teenagers with pimple problems, family planning or girls with monthly-cycle problem. In short, hormone-pills are no good for anyone! Don't be surprised that even some guys take hormone-pills. The possibility of one getting side effects from that medication is extremely high and the side effects include breast cancer, blood clots, stroke, tumors, and the list goes on and on.

So to answer the father's concern, no, YKLZ will not reverse the effect of hormone-pills, but it may somehow reduce the possible side effects that might occur during the consumption. But for me, why take the risk?

The baby is now waiting for another month for the doctors to confirm whether she needs to undergo a surgery to remove part of her intestine or not. Let's pray that she'll do fine without any alteration in her body. Imagine if it happens to your 2-month-old baby. What would you do?

How can we help?

This was told by Aunty Nina who just got back from visiting a family yesterday. That family is like a normal one. The father worked as a Security Guard, the mother is a housewife, the eldest son is turning 20 and there are 5 other siblings.

The reason why she visited the family was because of the eldest son's condition. He's a very young lad, tall and lanky figure. Supposed to be the family's first hope to help the parents and the younger siblings. Unfortunately, the boy is helpless now. He has been in a comma and bedridden for a year. He used to be dependant on the life-support machine but he can breathe normally now. He looks like a normal boy lying on the bed, he's not too skinny, he's not pale, he can blink his eyes slowly once in a while, and he even cries sometimes. So what's wrong with him?

A year ago, he was badly beaten by a group of heartless-boys which cracked his skull (both right and left), slashed his feet and made him became what he is now. The first impression when I asked Aunty Nina about his condition, she replied, "He's a living vegetable".

His mother looked as if she's given up. She's been feeding and taking care of her son for a year now with not a slight of hope that he'll recover. Imagine that both sides of your skull were ripped and nothing covers your brain. But God is So Great that the boy is still breathing till now. Lately, the doctor said that the boy also has a high sugar level in his blood. On top of other medications his mother is 'feeding', he also needs to take diabetic medication. His mother also covers his face with a mosquito net to avoid flies. Very sad but so true.

How did this happen?

We can easily blame the boy for getting into the fight at the first place. Or maybe point finger to the parents for not taking care of their child properly. We can do that. Blames after blames. But what's done is done. I'm sure if he was given a chance to turn back time, he wouldn't have gotten involved in that bunch of immoral kids. Aunty Nina also believes that this might be a way how he could get closer to God. It's the most saddest way, but if he's been given another chance to live a normal life again, I'm sure he won't waste it this time.

Apart from being sympathize and pay visit to the family, we can only pray from far that the boy will get better soon to lessen the burden of his family. I'm also trying to get Aunty Nina to provide the father's account number so that anyone who wants to help could channel the payment straight to him. I shall update everyone on the details once I've got it.

Let's take a moment to cherish what we have now and never forget about the people in need.

Salaam.
